This was a sweet account of a little girl's struggle to keep a positive attitude in the midst of a less than pleasant life. It was the kind of book that makes you fall in love with all things beautiful.

Fine book about a girl overcoming great odds and keeping her hope up. Does not have a typical happy ending, but it is a realistic ending like the ones we encounter in our lives, and everything does work out in the end.
