I've discovered the missing PBS feature... With the rising cost of postage, I want to be able to order multiple titles from one PBS user (and, yeah, maybe get some extra titles a la 3-for-2 or 6-for-4). But the system automatically requests the book from the user who has had it in the system for the longest time (yes, that's only fair) and I search that user's shelf for additional titles I want. If I don't find any, I cancel the order. The outre feature would be to search for a list of 3-5 ISBN titles and have the system return with the users who have 2 or more of the titles on their bookshelf. Such a feature would enable all users to economize on shipping costs. Since such a feature doesn't exist, here are the DIANA PALMER titles I need:
Published as SUSAN KYLE:
Published as DIANA BLAYNE
If you have 2 or more of these not-so-common Diana Palmer books, please send me a PM. I'll happily accept unpostable books if we can do a multi-book per credit deal. I really, really, really need these books. I'm working on a website to show all the names of all the characters in all of Diana Palmer's books, showing all the connections to Jacobsville. Colleen

luckil we have a 'is this b ook on your bookshelf' thread that floats around depending on when it gets bumped up! But I know the feeling..I dunno why it should matter to me but I do like to order from the same person if possible and I admit to cancelling if I see one I"ve ordered on another shelf(before it gets accepted and all that) heck I wish it'd not only search for who has the most of what you're requesting but would give an automatic 'discount' for requesting a certain amount from the same person! wouldn't that be cool?! |

What? You know how fanatic PBS is about the 1-book, 1-credit rule! LOL 'Nother feature in my dreams: search for a book on my buddies' shelves. (You know, plug in the ISBN and have it search all your buddies' shelves simultaneously). Colleen

You can search the shelves of Boxers. Have you tried that? |

Yes, Sarah. I am a boxer myself and I do search the BoB shelves first. But... looking at the Member directory (keeping in mind that only users with public profiles are listed there) and doing a quick count of the number of boxers indicated in the first 6000 names (not quite 10% of the total 63000 listed), only about 1.4% of PBS users are boxers. From experience, I can tell you that only a fraction of those are romance readers... sooooo, wouldn't it be wunnerful if they enabled us to search our buddies' shelves where we know we'll find our favorite genre? yep. I wish it'd also show our RL or a list 'to be bought-TBB' so others can browse and see what we have on our 'someday' list which to me is 'when I find a deal'! |

One feature that I have found helpful in searching a bookshelf is the find feature. I have about 400 books on my reminder list and if you enter control f and them type in the word reminder, then it searches that page for any books that have the word reminder in the field. I have found many of my books from the book bazaar for 3 for 1 etc by using this feature. It saves you alot of time in searching through shelves. |

It would be a good feature, especially noe. Your best bet is to post in the Book Bazaar, that's pretty effective. Posts like this are actually discouraged in this forum, unless they're in the "is this on your bookshelf" thread. (WIsh I could help, but I only have Lacy.) |

Willa, I'll take your Lacy if you'll part with it (you don't have it posted). Before you do post it, which ISBN do you have? Some are wishlisted... I've just added those to my wishlist and added you to my buddy list so you can post it just for me :-D 's'okay that you only have the one. My DP shopping list is fairly long and all the titles are less common than the LTTs, so I'm sure I'll be doing a lot of single book deals. And I definitely want Lacy. It's the only historical I don't have and I know it's connected to Jacobsville (with 6 degrees of separation). See? I've already found one of the books I'm looking for :-D I noticed you're also a Lora Leigh Breeds and Balogh fan. I have a few of the books on your WL, but some are keepers and others are TBR :-( On a completely off topic... I glanced through your wishlist. I'm homeschooling my twice-gifted daughter and I gotta suggest a website: sengifted.org. In particular, check out the articles listed in the Articles > Counseling, Multiple Exceptionality, and Psychological Issues submenu. Been there, still there. Colleen |

Lemme check if my Lacy is postable. I haven't actually read it yet. My son is "twice exceptional" as well. Autistic and brilliant. I find the school can deal with his handicaps far better than his intellectual gifts. :-\ Am seriously thinking about homeschooling, but the stress of having him here all the time is pretty major. Especially since my husband works at home. |

Thanks, Jubead, for the offer. I've already got all those. I once had all of DP's books but needed $$$. I sold them for lots of money and even more money to ship them to a buyer in England. I started about two years ago collecting them again and am now down to the last uncommon 10 listed. Colleen

Collen - have you tried ebay? I picked up 12 of her books for $10.00 which included diamond girl and lacy. I am sure it is a long shot because the ones you are looking for are not really on the market. I have seen alot of her books at our local UBS - If I see any from your list I will pick them up and let you know. If you are interested that is great if not I can always post them. I have a good portion of her books, but the ones I am not excited about I am putting on the bookshelf or I have duplicates :) |
