A well-worth-reading story. It may have happened decades ago in a midwestern metropolic with a newsboy but it could happen today with any number of plucky kids in some war torn area.
This has been one of my favorites for many years. I wanted another copy so I could keep my grandmothers in good shape. This is one of the best of Porter's writing. You really get to know the characters, not just on the surface, but more personally.
