This is an excellent book. Mindy wanted to be a teacher if she survived tuberculosis. Then she met Carl Matthews with the sky blue eyes and she fell in love. Mindy was a Christian, but Carl was not. Mindy fell in love with Carl and she married him. They had a hard time financially and there were times when Carl was cold to Mindy's needs. Mindy became a teacher and she found joy in that.
This book goes through much of Mindy's life. She reflects on some of her life's decisions and wonders if her decisions are right. It is an interesting romance.
