I don't really know how to review this book so here goes
1. V. C. Andrews died in 1986 so this wasn't written by her obviously
2. Not suspenseful in any way
3. Flat characters
4. Things are repeated over and over
5. I think as the pages are turned you expect something, anything, to happen next BUT nothing does
6. The Mother is just a controlling mother keeping them on a chain close to her apron and they can't develop a personality by themselves with no room to move
7. Once again--there is no suspense until you get to the last 25 pages and then there still isn't much suspense but the story does take a different turn, and then it will leave you hanging for the next book
This book is told by Kaylee so I figure the next book is probably told by Haylee?
When I finished it I didn't know if I'd read the next one or not but since it is a 3 book series I think I might get the next one too and see where it goes
I will say this---if you haven't read the Flowers in the Attic series then that is one you should read, it was Andrews first and it was a good one, get it from the library
