I don't think that book 2 was as good as the first book, but nevertheless, I enjoyed ir and finished it very quickly. Seems like there could possibly be a third book in the works?! The ending left the door open for it. The book was just not as exciting for me as the first. There was tons of sex but no real passion. In the first book, Darious was very cocky, but really cute about it to some extent. In this book, he's just plain obnoxious and arrogant. I almost got the feeling that the Ms. Russe could not make up her mind if she wanted Darius & Daphne to get back together or not. It was back together, no I hate what you did to me, back together, no I hate what you did to me, etc!!! I was definitely disappointed in book 2! If there is a third, I hope Savannah Russe gets back to the style she had in book 1, and gets rid of Darius!!!!

I loved Beyond the Pale and couldn't wait to read Past Redemption. While I enjoyed this book I felt it was not as good as the first one. The beginning dragged and parts of the story were predictable. Daphne and Darius are wonderful characters and I love their interaction. After a slow start the book picks up. I'm looking forward to reading the Beneath The Skin which is waiting for me on my TBR bookshelf.
