Larry, Playaways are postable on PBS. Where and for what reason were you told they were not?

From the help docs: 

• Books that require batteries to work do NOT have to have working batteries.
• "Playaway" books must include working headphones.

This could be what he meant, since playaways are unpostable without headphones.

I think that's a stupid rule.  Most likely anyone wanting to order a playaway has earphones already.  When I check them out of the library they don't come with earphones. I supply my own and who wants to use earphones that have been some strangers ear?

When I put in the ISBN it rejects the book saying it is not postable. Nothing about batteries or earphones just outright rejects it. By the way, these cost about $40 to $60 each.

According to the powers that be, if the ISBN isn't in the system already as a playaway, you just have to post them without one and indicate in the title and description that it is a playaway.  That is, of course, provided you have headphones to post with it.  I agree with everyone else that thinks that rule is silly, but we still have to go with it.  So overall, I'd just do what you've done and post them here in the bazaar.
