I love this book and the one before it, they make you think, not so much the "what could have been" but in the what did I want when I was younger that I can achieve now. Enjoy!

I really enjoyed this book and wasn't a typical romance. Has more of a mystery element - or I guess a "putting the pieces" together element and I also really enjoyed the travel back in time. The whole concept of going back in time and seeing how decisions over a couple of weeks can change the whole course of your life is so interesting. This is one romance even my husband would enjoy if I could get him to read it. Anyway, an enjoyable book - I hadn't read the first one so just got that in the mail and am looking forward to getting started reading it.

I loved it! The first book Summerhouse was great, but I think this one was even better and what a wonderful surprise ending. If you have read either one of these, please start with Summerhouse as it sets the scene for the second book. I just love Jude Deveraux!

Great book! I had a hard time putting it down and because of this finished it pretty quickly. This is the type of book that made Jude Deveraux my favorite author. It involves time travel and she does a great job of describing the time period and really helps you imagine what it would be like to be there. I was a little disappointed that she didn't let us go on the journey of the other two women to their pasts; their stories were just a quick summary, but she did a good job of tying up the story.

Fun fantasy with the same basic plot as "The Summerhouse" -- three women get the opportunity to go back into their own past and change something. The difference this time is that a past-life element is added.

this was good, only thing about this book was that it was kind of the same as summer house.
A really good book. Sequel to Summerhouse, which I personally feel is one of Jude Deveraux's best books, it kept the story going in a way that made me think...and hope. If you've read the prequel and enjoyed it, you'll like this book.
Excellent story line. The first book, Summerhouse, was so good I wanted to read this one the second book. Well worth reading!
Wonderful sequel! Loved the idea of being able to go back in your lifetime and change an event or make a better decision and "re-do" your life. What a great concept!
Great continuation of Summerhouse. I love all Jude's books and have never read a bad one.

If you already read the first book in this series, the second one is a little different in that the characters do not already know each other when they all arrive. I wasnt sure how I would feel about this difference, but I ended up enjoying it quite a bit. Amy, Faith and Zoe are complete strangers when they each arrive and in the beginning of the book, I found myself thinking these women would have a hard time bonding or relating to one another.
Each woman carries a large amount of grief, pain and bitterness in their lives and it takes several chapters before I fully understood how much these women needed one another. When I read a book, I usually associate with just one character. As I learned more about each character and their back-story, I discovered I cared about all three of them in very different ways and loved how connected they were without any of them realizing how much.
The only flaw I had with this book is the ending seemed a little rushed after all of the detail spent in the past. I would have liked to witness Faith and Zoes experiences first-hand instead of after the fact. Even still, the story was beautifully written and the characters are people you really are rooting for.
If you enjoyed the first book, I highly recommend this one. For me, Return To Summerhouse was an enjoyable return to the magic that I experienced when I read the first book. This was a very good story with a wonderful message of hope and love for three women who appear to be damaged beyond repair.
If you havent read the first book, I think you could still read and enjoy this one without reading the first story.
