I CAN update Forum Settings ok, but when I try to update my Profile, it just doesn't take. I DO click "update Settings".  I went into IE7, cleared my browser history, but it didn't make a difference.

Anyone know what else to try??   Thanks, June

Not sure if it would make a difference, but if you have Firefox, you might try loading the site through it, instead of IE.  Sometimes it seems like things don't glitch as badly for me if I switch browsers and try again.  (Of course, that might just be wishful thinking on my part ... ).

I don't have Firefox; only IE7.  Can one have 2 browers at the same time?  What do you do, use one or both of them?

Yep, June, you can have them both.  I still mainly use IE7, but sometimes when the site is slow or something won't work right for me, I do go into FF.   (often this helps, but not always)

What are you trying to update? 

ETA: You can also have both open at the same time..

Beth, trying to  update Profile Settings. All the other Update settings work ok. Just the Profile is giving me trouble.

June, I don't know if FF would help you or not...if the other settings are working, I don't see why it would (although, what I don't see about programming is monumental, lol).   I did, however, just make changes to my profile...added some text, played w/ my age, etc.  It all updated fine and then I put everything back and that updated fine, too.  I'm using IE7, too.

This might sound stupid (so forgive me in advance, lol), but could you try this on another computer?  See if responds the same from that one? (or have you?)  If you are willing to download it, it certainly couldn't hurt to try FF...many people here really love it!

Great idea Beth. I will try to  update my Profile on my hubby's laptop and see what happens. I can't understand why it doesn't work! Thanks.
