I like this book, it is a book written earlier in Eleanor Burns career. To me it is interesting to see how some aspects of quilting were done before we learned short cuts or new tools. Like the advancement in new rulers. She shows how to do the same thing without the new ruler. She breaks down the steps to each square design. The focus of the book is on making the different blocks which are all sewn by machine. She also teaches how to put the blocks together and then how to quilt by machine. The book is very informative I highly recommend it.

Well-written machine stitching and machine quilting book. Detailed instructions, great for beginners. Learn various skill levels in one book by completing a sampler quilt in Eleanor Burns' style.
