For me this was very poor writing, the scenario sounded good but the writing was awful, the author drifts off into too many descriptions in a paragraph for just page filler and doesn't add anything to the story, there is no 'thriller' or 'suspense' to this, there are too many pages of italics that is just past memories of the killer and I found that tedious and boring. I didn't find one likable character to cheer for and mostly it was just friction among the detectives or jealousy as to who got what case etc.
I won't be seeking anymore of this series there are just too many more great books to be read that are much much better than this one.
