The story itself is gripping. Each chapter oscillates between the first-person voice of two moms that meet while on summer vacation with their children (sans their husbands). The insight that they have about the other characters in the book, and with life itself, is thought-provoking and interesting without being trite! And the secrets they harbor keep you in suspense.
