Helpful Score: 3
This book contains the first two novels in Nora's The Stars of Mithra trilogy. The first, Hidden Star, explains how Bailey hires a private eye to cure her amnesia. Once uncovered, she remembers the blue diamond in her possession and the lives of her and her friends are in grave danger. The second, Captive Star, is about Bailey's friend, MJ, and how a bounty hunter named Jack Dakota has been hired (under false pretenses) to bring her to the bad guys. However, Jack learns that she didn't skip bail...but she has the second of the three blue diamonds that her enemies are seeking. The third story is Secret Star, and the story is told in the two story novel entitled "Treasures." (See separate review.)

I very much enjoyed the adventure given in these two first books of the stars trilogy, and the third one is just as wonderful. The characters are real, and hero material, and you find yourself really getting into the stories. It flows from one to the next book very well, even though the stories are simultaneously happening. You definitely find yourself wanting the next one right away. Enjoy them!
Loved it! I'm a huge Nora Roberts fan and this one didn't disappoint.
The Mithra Trilogy has three different books "Hidden Star", "Captive Star", and "Secret Star". This book include the first two of the Mirthra Trilogy.
"Hidden Star"
She couldn't remember a thing, not even who she was. But it was clear Baily James was in trouble. Big trouble. And she desperately needed private eye Cade Parris to help her find out just what kind. Surely she wasn't a criminal--but then what on earth was she doing with a bag full of cash and a stunning blue diamond as big as a baby's fist?
"Captive Star"
Someone had set them both up. Now, handcuffed together, bounth hunter Jack Dakota and bail jumper M.J. O'Leary were on the run from a pair of hired killers. And M.J. wasn't talking--not even when Jack found a gigantic blue diamond hidden in her purse. Everything told Jack the sexy skip he'd been hired to recover couldn't be trusted...everything that is, but his heart.
