Freecycle is not supposed to be moderated, so the owners don't get to weed out the ones who are always wanting. I used to be one of the owners :-) more...

People tend to place a lesser priority on things that are "free".  It doesn't mean that they are worthless or are of lesser quality.  It merely means that because there is no $$ tag associated with obtaining the item, they do not feel obligat more...
