This is a compilation of vampire tales. There are 15 different stories, written by authors such as Clive Barker, Robert Bloch, H.P. Lovecraft and others. Some tales are better than others, but if you are a vampire fan, there are sure to be a few that you will enjoy.

This vampire anthology runs the gamut from old-fashioned Hollywood vamps to modern psyche suckers, from suave romantic heroes to evil fiends. Since the tales include a little bit of everything, there's sure to be stories to appeal to all vampire fans. I tend to prefer unorthodox stories; here are a few that I enjoyed most.

Tanith Lee's Bite-Me-Not or Fleur de Fur - a love story with a dashing tragic vampire hero.

F.Paul Wilson's Midnight Mass - a good vs evil tale with a satisfying resolution where good triumphs over the dark villains.

Thomas Ligotti's Lost Art of Twilight - I thought the premise interesting although the plot disappointed.

Robert Bloch's The Yugoslaves - a well-worn premise with a mild twist told in a refreshing manner.

Dan Simmons Carrion Comfort - a vibrant energetic tale of vampire vs vampire

C.L. Moore's Black Thirst - features a vampire who drinks not blood but beauty.
