The third in Gail Rock's four-book miniseries about Addie, an adolescent growing up in Clear River, Nebraska in the 1940s. In this book, Addie makes a friendly overture toward a longtime family enemy. Not as strong as some of the other Addie books, but sensitively written.
A very sweet story about a little girl being raised by her father and grandmother and their special challenges at Thanksgiving.
I will always love these books. So many set childhood memories.
