I'm giving this one a 1* rating, poorly written

At the half point of any book it should have you truly engrossed in the story but this one is so slow and boring!

1. too many characters are introduced and they all have a 'back' story told---boring
2. Jessica is 25 yrs. old and a PI? really? and why did she leave NY? by the half point you don't know anything
3. of course there has to be a detective and of course he has a 'secret' too? boring
4. newspaper reporter? again boring
5. at least 2 storylines going on and nothing to do with the other so again---boring
6. pages and pages of just nothing but descriptions and I don't want to know what they wear, eat, drink or what time they crap! I know the sky is blue etc and I don't care what color carpet anyone has, I mean really?

I quit at the half point when I knew it was just boring and slow and not my kind of reading and it sure isn't a 'thriller' as it says on the front of the book!
