I liked this book better than ttyl, I think. The girls have an awesome friendship. It reminds me of my days as a teen in high school (before email). I'm looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

Parents, be warned: this book is trash. Explicit sexual content and drug usage occurs on about every third page. I know its been a while since I've been in junior high, but I suspect nipple piercing and joints are not nearly as frequently discussed there today as they are in this book. God help us (and our kids) if they are. I would give this zero stars if I could. I mean, look at the editorial review quote: "Maddie makes some really bad moves with Clive, a pot-smoking hipster who wants to be 'friends with benefits.'" This book has no redeeming value what-so-ever.

This was a big, big, big book with the middle schoolers in my recent job. I don't know if I'd want my daughter to read it or not, it is young adult, but a little edgy. Language and what the girls are texting about.
