Published in 1990, this is #11 in the Poldark saga and was meant to be the last one. As a result, a lot of of loose ends were tied up. As with most of the others, I found it a page-turner. However, I will never forgive Graham for killing off one of my favorite characters. He killed off another main character also, but I didn't care too much about that.
However, in 2002 Graham wrote a 12th book, which was the last, as he died in 2003.
