You don't have to be a vegetarian to get a lot of useful recipes out of this cookbook. The recipe for Classic Minestrone is the absolute best I have ever tried. The book contains full color illustrations for each recipe and easy to follow directions. I would recommend this cookbook to everyone!

The best vegi. cookbook I've come across! Some recipes aren't that low in fat but you can always use substitutions. So far I haven't found one unyummy dish. The torta, minestrone soup, and borsht are the best!!!!

This is our very favorite cookbook, and I just got a second copy for my mother in law. Every recipe has large colorful photos, and how-to pictures. We have cooked about 15 of them so far, and love them. Nice homey food, like comfort food, and some spicier. Not strange things like some vegetarian cookbooks have.
ONE WORD OF WARNING - for some strange reason MANY of the recipes have too much liquid. If you don't want soupy, or boiling down for ages, start with a third of the amount of liquid and see if more is needed. This is the only flaw with the book, and easy to overcome.
