I read this book because I had loved the author's A Trip to the Stars. This story was filled with the mystical, occult, and just simply fantastic happenings. If you like time travel, magicians, disappearing people and places, murder, and mystery, you'll love this book!

Hip, sexy...superbly lyrical...a novel in which anything can happen.

A tale of detection, romance, and magic that unfolds across a miraculously disjointed world at once recognizably familiar and completely unknown.

On a snowy night in February-- at the improbable corner in lower Manhattan where Wavely Place intersects inself---a photographer named Leo meets Veronica, the beautiful enigmatic daughter of an illusionist who has been swallowed up in time.
