Just is case you miss it somehow, this is a novel! And while somewhat superficial in a number of ways, I also enjoyed it, reading it straight through and ignoring my other open books.
This is one of the best books I have ever read. The story of the North China marines is a chapter of the marine history that has been overlooked by history. Great characters and the time in history is outstanding.you will not be able to lay this book down.
