Excellent book to help understand what the Founding Fathers were thinking when they formed the Constitution and the Amendments (Bill of Rights).
Larry Schweikart lays out good arguments and publishes the wording of these documents, as written without changing anything within the wording, then set out facts and general understandings to help the reader understand what the intent of the Founding Fathers was (usually going back to States Rights to govern and LIMITED Federal Government.
If you want to gain a better understanding of the principles that this Nation was founded on, the book is a must read.
Could be a text book used for civics or American history class for any school level middle school or above.
Interesting read.
