I loved this book and the romance in it. It was a make me feel good book which is why I read in the first place. My only complaint is there were a few inconsistences (i.e., a section where she was making sliced tuna and it turned to chicken and back to tuna). There was totally laugh out loud funny parts and the tears in my eye serious parts. Unlike another reviewer, I felt there was enough about the other characters to totally get them, loved some of them and hated the others. About half way through, I could not put it down until I was finished - started in the afternoon and finished it at 1:30 am. It did not matter that I had to get up early for work the next day, I just had to get to the HEA. I gave it 4 stars and enjoyed it very much. If it had been better edited, I would have given it 4 1/2 stars.

I received this ARC as a Goodreads Giveaway. If you haven't checked out the giveaways I recommend it. I really enjoyed this book. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because of the way Beth Harbison gave the backstory at the biginning of the book. The info dump. There were several ways she could've done it in a "show don't tell" style.

This book is definitely chick lit. Which I hold to different standards than I do a thriller. As I said I figured some things out early on that Gemma was blind to but then that's the way the genre works. We know and wait to find out how the reader works it out. I loved Gemma from beginning to end. And felt the story came together in a wonderful way. Definitely a great, light read.
