This is the trade-paperback size version. It's "The Bachelor" for witches and wizards. So funny, we laughed out loud as we read it. Ibbotson is a wonderful writer.

This is an excellent book for pre-teens that are exploring their imagination. I actually read this book to my daughter because I was tired of reading picture books. She adored it and we went on to purchase other books from the same author.

This book is a story about witches but it wasn't really too scary. Reviewed by grandson in 2nd grade.

Belladonna, the smallest of the coven, wants desperately to win, but she has one problem: she's a good witch. Her spells conjure up begonias and baby birds, not a single nest of vipers or bloodshot eyeballs. But Belladonna is in love, and she's determined to do something sinister in time for the contest...."
