A very useful guide for the solitary beginner. Provides daily exercises and much useful information. Beware, however, factual errors the author gleaned from Margaret Murray (a notoriously unreliable source). As one reviewer at Amazon put it, "I would recommend this book as an exercise guide ... but you should do your own research if you want actual facts." Focusing on the practicing solitary, this book is intended as a training guide to help one through the sometimes difficult initial "Year and a Day" dedication to Wicca. One could regard the errors in fact as an additional study to strengthen one's grasp of facts by requiring research to confirm or deny Roderick's account.

It says you can start this program anytime EXCEPT from October 31 to February 2. That's the time nothing really happens in the world of Wicca. So if you start around the end of August or early September, you should be on track. Also, I really appreciated the author letting us know what materials were needed for the next month. For example, on day 25 or so, he made a list of everything that was needed for days 30-60. It was really easy to read and follow.
