I was very disappointed in these two stories. Usually I like everything ms Krentz writes. I just felt these missed the mark with not enough of story development both lost my interest quickly

Wow, I've found a book that I just don't like by Krentz this is a first. This book was from 1982 and I can see she was working toward the main characters having past troubles that interfere with their current romantic pull. But it just doesn't work. You really don't like either character or their direction. You can see maybe trying to sympathise with one or the other but you just can't.
