This book is a real snooze fest. I tried to finish it but I couldn't. If you are a Southern Historian, who must know all there is to know about Georgia history then you probably can muddle through, the suppositions and legal documents.
I read a lot of history but this person needs to take a course in writing with affect.
While Mr. Leslie tried to create a story worth reading, I think this must of been his thesis (he may have mentioned that - it has been several years since I picked it up), the point being, this is an academic work and not a curl up and learn about the South in the 1800's.
