Following up on A Street Cat Named Bob, the author's story continues - breaking his drug dependency, struggling as a street vendor or busker (entertainer), and his venture into documenting his story by publishing a book. The day to day struggles are heartwrenching at times. The animosity among his counterparts when they feel he is "getting ahead" is eye opening. And through all of it, Bob remains his loyal companion and his friend. I've always known animals can be in tune to human feelings and physical needs, and Bob proves this time after time.
