This book should not have an unabridged version. It really needed a stronger editor to reign in the author(s).
The novel was enjoyable when it got into the animal portion of the story. They are an interesting boogie monster. Sadly that is not very much of the 7 cd book. Most of the book focuses on the uninteresting politics between scientists and government officials.

Very good story BUT scary!
Everything previous reviewers have said, frightening, Micheal Crichton, can put down, sit in the car to finish a chapter, everything.. is all true.
The tv show isnt even close. Patterson fans will not be disappointed. I was not.
