This is a Tess Monaghan novel I read two years ago and didn't like according to my book notes. Now, I read it in February and enjoyed it a lot. The plot was quite interesting and kept me reading.

I enjoyed this book enormously. Daniel Silva has a wonderful protagonist in Gabriel. Descriptions of areas are comprehensive and this one dealt with the Catholic Church during WWII. It is always fascinating to learn what various religions did during this time (or did not do). If you like action and history relating to the Nazi's and WWII, this is probably a good bet for you.

Another thriller in this series. Pretty gritty but keeps you interested. Learned more about weapons than I ever thought I wanted to. If you are squeamish, this may not be for you.

I loved this book. I do not like Laurie King's other series, but the Kate Martinelli series is super. I just wish she had written more. Characters are engaging, writing is excellent. I strongly recommend this series.

This is a book worth reading for the information about strip mining and what effect it has on the environment in Appalachia. Then add in opioids and wham! What a thriller. By my standards, this is one of Grisham's best.

My book group read this after voting A Man Called Ove our favorite book of 2016. I have to tell you we all disliked this book intensely. We did not like the characters at all and could not relate to Elsa, the main character. She seemed unreal. It takes about 1/3 of the way through to finally begin to make sense of where the author was heading. I will be interested to read other reviews to see what other readers think.

Donna Leon's Inspector Brunetti is well written, very interesting and a wonderful resource about Venice. You are captured immediately by the Inspector, his family, his colleagues and the problems he faces. I strongly recommend this series especially to folks who enjoy "cozy mysteries."
