While this is not McNaught's best work, her writing is better than most other books. Probably the weakest part of the book is the abrupt ending. I did enjoy reading it in spite of that.

Susan Mallery continues to be one of my new, favorite authors. This is the story of Gracie and Riley. They have a past together, and when Gracie comes back to town to help with the wedding of her younger sister, and Riley moves back to fulfill requirements in order to receive a substantial inheritance, their past catches up with them. Sparks fly and the fun begins again in this quirky romance!

A Fountain Filled with Blood (Rev. Clare Fergusson / Russ Van Alstyne, Bk 2)
Review Date: 3/27/2010

This is book number 2 in a great series. You will want to revisit Miller's Kill every chance you get. And it's great to know that there are several books in this series to make that happen. Russ and Clare are the star-crossed hero and heroine that always try to do the right thing, which can get them in trouble at times. Love the setting, love the characters, and love just about everything about this series. I highly recommend this book, and all the books in this series to anyone wanting a satisfying mystery.

Although one of Linda Howard's older series titles, Heartbreaker is an excellent story. You can almost feel the attraction between the hero in heroine in the story. If you enjoy an old fashioned "alpha male" hero, you will really like this book.

I just can't get enough of Russ and Clare and I was not disappointed by this installment. Someone is killing Mexicans brought in to do farm work in the Miller's Kill area. It's up to Russ and Clare to figure out who is behind the deaths before someone they know is killed. And the relationship between Russ and Clare continues, always changing and always interesting.
