Not for people who are more than 30 lbs overweight. (Get his similar book for "Real Shapes Real Sizes" instead.) Must have exercise equipment to do the workout.

Might've been a good self help book but they tried to target it to "businesspeople" and it really makes little sense to me. What works in the music classroom and the psychologist's couch has little relevence to the business world. However, in its defense, 2 people I know really like this book. It wasn't for me...

I love Anne Perry's books, but this is one of her worst. By page 16 I was thoroughly confused by the large cast of characters and completely disinterested in the outcome of the book.

Couldn't finish it. Pretentious writing with an annoying narrator. Writer couldn't write for a child's thoughts to save her life: using words like "inertia" and having observations that clearly come from the narrator, not the child. Main plot driver not believable: a child who is mediocre at everything is suddenly a spelling savant. Not only unbelievable, but I don't care about the character -- thanks to the narrator's snottiness. Don't understand what the hype is about this book. The author clearly wants you to know she knows big words and you don't.

One of Perry's best.

Tries to cover too much territory in too little space. Almost no depth at all. Most of these things I knew before. Fashion advice is in direct conflict with modern advice (e.g., "What Not To Wear"). Not much help for the overweight, either. I'm glad I didn't pay for it.

Cute photos cheered me up.

This book TOTALLY blew my mind. I'm STILL chewing it over. I think I have to re-read it many times to totally get it all. It changed the way I think about pretty much everything.

One of my two favorite books of all time! (The other being "A Prayer for Owen Meaney by John Irving.) I loved the characters so much that I was sad when the book ended. It is a thrilling read, very fun, good sense of humor. Astonishing that it's based in fact.

Pretty horrible. I couldn't get past the first 30 pages. Self-indulgent writing that the writer believes is more interesting than it is. Don't care about the characters, don't care about the curiosities. Author tries to set up the book as if it's non-fiction, but is so overwrought in doing it that you don't believe it for a second -- you recognize it for what it is, a gimmick. Blech.

The first of the series. Mind-blowing, humorous, and satirical.

One of the most incredible books I've EVER read. A true classic: funny, poignant, completely unforgettable.

Didn't like the main characters, failed to see the humor. Stopped reading after the masturbation with a collie fantasy. Ugh.

Not a thriller. Very slow paced. Writing is good but I got bored. Also, for those who are squeamish like me, the descriptions of the dead bodies and the murders are particularly gruesome. (In one case, we hear a man's thoughts as maggots eat away his brains.) I like murder mysteries and they don't usually gross me out. However, I got nauseous reading this book.

I did not find this book to be very helpful. I liked Stacy and Clinton's book from TLC's What Not To Wear more helpful.

More wizards, commentary on sexism and feminism. Very funny.

I think this book is more for pre-teenagers. I didn't enjoy it; I'm 40.

If you like Sherlock Holmes, you'll probably appreciate this book. It was a bit too fruity for me and the solution to the mystery was pretty weak.

Absolutely one of Pratchett's best. New characters, a new angle, an entirely believable and fun story.

Not as funny or as clever as some of his other books, but it's still Pratchett who, even at his less-than-best, is still pretty darn good.
