Though Victoris is a little slow on her feet, her eyes-and mind-are still sharp, which is why she is the first to notice something amiss in the local cemetery. I have read most of Sandra Dallas' books but this is decidedly different. It had lots of surprises...some I saw coming and one or two I didn't. It was an enjoyable read.

This is not a book for the faint of heart. It is very graphic but beautifully written. It's the story of Sugar, a prostitute. I read it as a book club selection.
