I enjoyed this book, perhaps partially because it is told through the eyes of an older woman, which I am rapidly becoming; a protagonist we don't see that often in novels. The story is a mystery that flashes between the decades of her young married days and her older widowhood, with focus on the bathtub death of her young daughter, two love affairs, and the building of a loving relationship with her young granddaughter, and her parents. A page-turner that is full of heart.
