Dr. Jennifer White has Alzheimer's disease. She is good on some days, not so good on others. Her best friend, Amanda, has been found murdered in her home with four of her fingers removed. Dr. White was a surgeon specializing in hand surgery.
Throughout this novel, coming from the mind of Dr. White, we go through her mind on good days and bad. We learn about her children, relationships, etc.
This was written very well and makes you think about how hard it must be for families dealing with that awful disease, never mind what the actual person must be going through.
