Pete Hamill is becoming one of my favorite authors. I read 'Forever' this summer, and loved it. This is a very different book-though it isset in New York as was 'Forever'. I read this in less than a day-it is short, but it was just so engrossing, I didn't want to put it down. Sad, yet sweet, this semi-autobiographical book should be on your reading list.
