I have read, or attempted to read, several not so good books recently. So 'not good' that I actually gave up on them. You know the type, after a week, still trying to get through it. This is not the case with Kingdom of the Blind. Louise Penny knows how to write, pure and simple. Good plot, good characters, just plain good.
