This Inspector Felse novel was a bit more complex than the last one. The first few chapters leave you wondering if a crime was actually going to take place. But this was just a setup for the crime that couldn't seem, at first, to include anyone in the novel.
I finally figured out, toward the end of the book about a chapter or two before the list of suspects really narrowed down, who the murderer was. Of course, Peters then threw in a couple more red herrings that left me wondering if I had erred.
If you are looking for a happy ending with all the loose ends tied up, then you really shouldn't be reading any of the Inspector Felse books, as Peters' endings are like life, lots of possible endings left unraveled.
I can't wait until I get hold of #4 in this series.
