Former White House chief-of-staff (President Carter) Hamilton Jordan chronicles his memoirs in this cancer survival story. Jordan's life has echoed the collective national experience of his generation on many levels: Vietnam, his youth in the Civil-Rights-era South, and his tumultuous years in Washington, D.C.
Not just once, but three times he has been diagnosed with cancer in its various forms: non-Hodgkins lymphoma, melanoma, and prostate cancer. He fought all of this with a positive attitude and a well-informed mind.
This is an unforgettable read on many fronts: practical advice about coping with cancer, and memorable anecdotes about notable figures of recent American history.
