My son was a bit over 2.5 years when I bought the book. We read it twice and he started telling me that "Lalas" are not forever and he threw his binkie in the garbage.
In the evening I told him that the garbage trucks had taken his Lala, gave it a good scrub and left it with a baby that needed one. He liked and believed this story.
Wonderful book. I recommend it.
