I did not expect to like this book, as the jacket makes it seem like it would be rather dull. I could not put it down. I read the whole thing in one day, and then read his next book "A Thousand Splendid Suns" the next day. It is really a haunting story that spans through the years and different parts of the world seamlessly. I would suggest this book to anybody.
