The book is named after a horse. It's part of the plot and a wild and headstrong horse. The story, tho, really centers around Savannah. She fell in love with her half-brother when they were both young, but he was afraid to acknowledge it since he would betray the family that "adopted" him. There are also a few sub-plots centering around Savannah's nephew that runs away and her brother-in-law that's embezzling money from whatever enterprise he can. It's one of Lisa's earlier books (1986), so she hadn't really gotten into her groove yet...hence 3 star rating.
