I bought this for my 9 year old daughter, and it is a well-designed book, with good creative projects. However, the reason for the low rating is the language the author uses. My daughter is still young and innocent, and I don't want to explain things like "pimped out", "plumber's butt". And here is another description of a bracelet from page 54. "Vinnie flags down girls (and some guys) with a quick flick of his wrist. Like him, you'll be such a hot rod, you know you will."
I don't think the vulgar and immoral tone is necessary for a book about duct tape. I wish the author showed a little more restraint so that it would be more family friendly.
