Social Worker Carly Taylor believes one of her kids has been falsely accused of dealing a new lethal drug. She is determined to prove the teen innocent, much to the chagrin of her estranged husband, Seth Harding, the detective in charge of this investigation. Seth worries about Carly's safety. This is exactly what broke up their marriage. He wants her to stay at home with their daughter instead of putting her life on the line when entering explosive family situations. Now the more questions Carly asks, the more people she is upsetting in the small-town community.

Part 2 of the Rogue River Novella series is another winner. This part was written by Melinda Leigh who is a new author for me. I will definitely be looking for more of her books.

This story felt much the same as the previous. It is fast moving and action packed. The characters are interesting and I was quickly drawn into the story. The only problem was the length of the story. Some questions from the last story were answered and new questions popped up. I'm ready to jump right into the next story in the series to see what happens next. My rating: 4 Stars.
