Owen is the good-looking one, the one who's always counted on his charm to get by. Bt the war has changed them all. On the trail of the traitor, he no longer prides himself on his ability to break hearts, especially when the heart belongs to a girl as plain-featured and plainspoken as Hetta Gwynne. Hetta makes it clear she has no interest in winning a man, only in winning back her ranch. But after tasting her surprisingly heated kisses, Owen realizes it is his own heart that is in danger of breaking unless he can change her mind.
