I didn't know what to expect and I was NOT disappointed. Fascinating world-building. Many characters - and widely varied in personalities, talents, and motivations - are indelibly introduced yet you're never overwhelmed by too many names or people to remember. It's a masterful delivery of an intriguing world. Def give this one a chance if you like strong female protagonists with a sidekick or two she never expected to have. Wonderful.
