MacArthur's Spies: The Soldier, the Singer, and the Spymaster Who Defied the Japanese in World War II by Peter Eisner introduces me to a piece of World War II history I did not know. For a few reasons, this book remains short of being a completely engaging book for me. I am glad for the history I learned; I just would have preferred a more concise, more story-like telling of the history.
