THE RANGER'S ANGEL Jodi Thomas: THE RANGER'S ANGEL - The Texas Ranger Wynn McCord, has been following the trail of some cutthroats. He comes across a stagecoach stopped at a station, containing a single woman and several men.

Annalane Barkley has spent most of her adult life in military hospitals and on battlefields during the Civil War. She doesnt take guff! McCord knows the way station is about to be attacked and should go for help; Annalane talks him into letting her accompany him.

UNDERTAKING TEXAS Linda Broday: Stoney Burke finds Texanna Wilder in desperate circumstances. Texannas brother-in-law wants to marry her to get the 2 businesses she inherited from her husband. He will go to extraordinary means to get what he wants.

Although his heart is still bruised (Stoney and Texanna were an item until Sam Wilder swept her off her feet. Sam asked his best friend to watch over Texanna, if he died). Stoney sees no other solution but to marry Texanna but Stoney will not give up being a Texas Ranger to do it.

ONE WOMAN ONE RANGER -- Phyllis Miranda: This is the best story Ive read by this author.

Hayden McGraw has taken Ella Stevenson into custody and now he has real problems. He took Ella from the sheriffs custody by stating he was married to Ella.

A new justice of the peace has come to Newman County and has decreed that everyone living together must buy a license (and get legit). Ella and Hayden pay the fee and sign documents. Now what do they do?

THE PERFECT MATCH DeWanna Pace: Parts of this story were priceless; this is a unique story. Ranger Thomas Longbow and other Texas Rangers have been sent to the area to stop a prize fight between two pugilists. He happens upon on one of the combatants in Laney O'Gradys saddle shop.

Longbow thinks that OGrady knows where the fight will be held, and when, and decides to keep an eye on her. He soon learns that Laney is long on character and short on information she will share.

Overall: 4 stars
