Sergio Esposito writes about his beginning love affair with wine. As a young boy he observed the daily ritual of the Italian family drinking wine at the dinner table. It was as part of a meal as the conversation among the close-nit family he grew up with. Sergio emigrated to Albany, New York where he began sipping wine from his uncle's wineglass. Sergio came to associate wine with family & his mother's cooking; memories of his former life in Italy. Sergio went to New York to start a career in wine, founding his Italian Wine Merchants, the leading wine source in America. Sergio traveled often to Italy where he learned the traditions of Italian winemaking & to rediscover the Italian way of life he'd left behind. Read Esposito's colorful memoir about winemaking and family. An enjoyable read about wine and travel.
